2010 Annual Dinner Held On Wednesday, November 17, 2010

(11/22/2010) - The 24th Annual Dinner of the Enterprise Zone Corp. of Braddock was held on Wednesday, November 17th at the Grand View Golf Club in North Braddock. The approximately 40 Enterprise Zone members and guests heard a presentation by Allen Kukovich, Executive Director of the Power of 32. This initiative is a 32-county, 4-state effort to create a shared vision for the region’s best future.

As a former state senator and state representative, Mr. Kukovich said he believes this initiative can bring together people from an area larger than the state of Rhode Island outside the everyday functioning of government. The Power of 32 is creating an ambitious agenda for the region’s future built upon the ideas and concerns of the thousands of people who are participating in the process.

Mr. Kukovich discussed the success of other such efforts in the United States and Canada. He commended the local communities in the Enterprise Zone area for working together to support business development and job creation. He said this is an example of what they want to do on a regional level.
