EZCB Celebrates 30 Years of Economic Development

(12/15/2016) - The 30th Annual Dinner of the Enterprise Zone Corp. of Braddock (EZCB), serving Braddock, North Braddock, Rankin and Swissvale, was held on December 1, 2016 at the Grand View Golf Club. The new "In The Zone" initiative was presented to the approximately 40 corporation members and guests. This new initiative is planned to announce the economic transformation taking place in the communities, improve the image of the area, and highlight the many assets in the Zone.

Guest Speaker Buddy Hobart noted that the group "gets it" by modernizing its marketing to demographic changes taking place. Mr. Hobart is the President of Solutions 21. He is a consultant, entrepreneur, author, speaker, radio host and an expert on generational leadership. A native of Homestead, Mr. Hobart recently returned to Homestead and as a neighbor he has recognized improvements in the Enterprise Zone communities.

EZCB President William Pfoff noted the 30 years of work the Enterprise Zone has done to improve economic conditions. Mr. Pfoff said, "New technology companies are coming to the area such as Unicentric, Inc. and Phillips Tank & Structure in Braddock and Huth Technologies, LLC in North Braddock. Meanwhile we are seeing growth and new investment by companies that have been here for years. Buddy Hobart's discussion validates that our strategy is on the right path".
